The following are services provided to people already in the system. If you are looking for help on entering the system by becoming accredited as a faculty school, a mentor group, or an independent educator, please start at the home page.

 

Transcripts

OLEF archives all student transcripts as a matter of maintaining records. If you want a copy of your transcript, you must first request this from your faculty school, your mentor group, or your independent educator. We can provide transcripts if for some reason these initial providers cannot, but at a fee that reflects the number and type of transcripts requested. Mediation

OLEF can mediate disputes between students and mentors or faculty members and also between faculty schools and COFSA, our recognition agency. All conversation related through mediation should initially be directed to our current director, whose email is listed on our People page.

There are three types of communication. (1) Questions are simply looking for clarification of a rule or regulation, or asking an unofficial opinion on a matter. (2) Concerns are non-recorded (thus non-official) conversations about a potential issue. All concerns start as email requesting a phone call. The ensuing call is not recorded and informal. (3) Complaints are clear, committed statements alleging an infraction or mistreatment of some sort. These must be written as emails sent to the director, must be labeled as a complaint, and must be viewed as an official record.

Trackschool Mentors

OLEF can provide a directory of Trackschool mentors to any family interested in Trackschool. OLEF archives the Trackschool tier certificates and provided mediation between accredited Trackschool schools and mentors but does not itself provide Trackschool training.
